Every day, I’m thankful that I help students grow personally and professionally, while encouraging diversity. Diversity fosters creativity, innovation, empathy, and social cohesion, and education is the most powerful tool we have to create it. John Dewey believed that “education is a process of living and not a preparation for future living.” Indeed, the greatest gift I can give students is my time because I’m sharing my life with them – moments that only they’ll have – so I try to make those moments special, irreplaceable and valuable as possible. Beyond my art, my legacy will be my family and my students.
